I travel extensively for work, and even though this device breaks my "travel light" rule, its one of the best investments I have made. Yes, it has the same number of power outlets that other, much smaller chargers have, but its Type C outlet is what has me so enthusiastic. Not because it has one, but because it does something that no other charger I have tried is able to do-- it charges my Samsung tablet quickly, and keeps it charged while it is in use. Even the charger that came with the tablet cant do that. As for the rest of the charging ports, they work equally well. My only criticism is that the ports are a bit close together, making it a bit difficult to fit the retractable cables I always use.

I ended up returning this product because I need an adapter with 60W PD. To be fair, the product description does state 30W PD, but it's easy to see the initial "60W" in the description and think that you're getting 60W on the PD port.If 30W on the PD port was sufficient, this adapter would have worked perfectly for me. It's a well-built product with good features; possibly a bit bulky for travel, but great for the home charging station where I was going to use it.For travel, I prefer my 4-port adapter, which is a little lighter and less bulky -- not a huge difference, but enough for me to notice in my travel backpack.

I got this to charge an iPhone and the base non-touchbar 2017 MacBook Pro. I watched as the Macbook Pro actually dropped from 100% fully charged to 70% while streaming video content as an iPhone charged from one of the hub's USB Type A to Lighting ports. The charge rate seems to be less than 2% per hour with the MacBook Pro as the only device plugged into the hub.I had hoped to consolidate my charging needs, but for now the USBC PD is laughable and an iPad Air charging at the same time as an iPhone seems to max it out.Update from two starts to four: I got a new one and while it only delivers 30W through the USBC PD port (which is enough for a one port MacBook but not the USBC MacBook Pro) it will charge multiple devices.

Great multi port charger with type C.Pros:- PowerIQ ports ensure safe charging- type C port can charge a 12 inch MacBookCons:- LED light can be annoying if charging overnight (I use electric tape to cover it)- Will not charge MacBook Pro models at full speedOverall:A good option for charging multiple devices. Will charge MacBook Pros at less than full speed though.

* Charges a Pixel 2XL quickly* Charges the Pixelbook* Charges a 2015 Chromebook Pixel without low-voltage warnings, even while charging the phone at the same time. That said, it seems to charge a bit more slowely than the less-reliable iVoler model.I have had good luck with Anker chargers. One failed a couple of years ago, but another 5 have been perfect. It's a bit bulky for traveling, but it seems solid.

Like every other Anker product, this 5-port USB-C charger is built to last. All ports work flawlessly to charge my 12" Macbook, phones, speakers, etc.I only wish that the charger had a smaller footprint. On that note, the dimensions listed are incorrect (2.64 x 3.27 x 1.1 in). It is actually: 3.07 x 4.06 x 1.1 in. Which are exactly the same dimensions as the less expensive aluminum-faced version. I emailed Anker support about this so hopefully, they'll correct it soon.I also asked about the differences between the older aluminum-faced version and this one. The answer I received is that aside from appearances, they are exactly the same. I ended up purchasing both and it seems like the aluminum-faced version does not work with some 3rd party USB-C hubs whereas this one works flawlessly. Looking at charging stats, the aluminum version is read by my MacBook as a 30W charger and this one is read as a 25W charger, so there must be some internal updates between the two. Both are quality products, but if you're looking for greatest compatibility with 3rd party dongles, I would recommend paying the premium and getting this over the aluminum-faced one.

Finally. I was looking for a charging solution for my Pixel 2 XL. My previous Anker 5-port that had a USB-C port didn't rapid charge and that's because the Pixel 2 XL uses Power Delivery 2. Fast Charge and QuickCharge from Qualcomm doesn't work on it and this solved my problem.
