I bought this to be used in my car with my AVIC8200nex head unit. Just tested it out.The head unit does not output much wattage to charge the phone. That’s why I bought a 36 watt car charger for.Don’t be fooled by anyone. Apple CarPlay works! The cable looks and feels premium. Immediately when it slid out the box, I marveled at how beautiful it looked.☺️???? The chrome finish on sexy braided cable is very pleasing. Not ostentatious but very pleasing. It’s beautiful and it works. I used it home with an iPad 12 watt charger and it works just lovely. If you are in the market for a Jew iPhone cable that uses USB A: this is what you must buy.If you’re into car audio and you need an iPhone cable for your deck, this is the cable to get. You don’t need any USB extension with it. This is more durable than any USB extension out there! And for people asking about CarPlay, Apple’s CarPlay works.Stop reading this review and hit, ‘Add to cart.’

Updated:My cord was replaced and it’s been working much better so far. I must’ve gotten a defective one. Ill keep an eye on it.Original:I am not super happy with this product at this moment. At least I’m able to get a replacement to see if the new cord will last much longer. I will update my review pending how durable the second replacement is.

Best cord I have found so far, very strong and durable. The end you plus in is magnetic ???? also, pretty cool. Nice finish on ends. Feels quality.

I don't know what was wrong with plain old red. It's hard to tell from the pictures, but the ends on these things are shiny and also have sparkly stuff in the braided cord.It makes them look like a $1.99 cord from a convenience store. If it weren't for the Anker brand and how well these things hold up over time, I would have returned simply on aesthetics.

I am very impressed with the family of ANKER products that I have purchased. They charge faster and work better than the OEM devices that come with my products. BUT, 2 Weeks ago I found out how important their SUPPORT and WARRANTY was... I woke up 2 weeks ago and my 10Ft Anker charging cable that I bought for my Apple phone that I have had for only about 6 months quit charging my phone. I tested my phone and charging plug and it was definitely the plug... I emailed ANKER gave them the S/N of the cable and voilà they provided me with a return label and I sent the old wire back and received a new on with in a week... So not only do I love the products but the support was impeccable...LOVE YOU GUYS... thanks for the assist...

Anker has long been a top name in digital cable accessories. this one seems to be very solid and high quality. i read a few reviews that lamented the poor quality and/or wondered if the Anker cable they received was a fake. I will send an alert if this one fails to live up to the Anker rep. It's a 6-ft black USB-A to lightning for Apple iPhones & iPads. I use it to charge a 10-inch iPad.

I have been buying the Anker powerline+ series for awhile now and this cable has not disappointed. Compared to the powerline+ ii this cable adds a more durable end that feels great as you plug it into your phone. The slimmer cable diameter is very noticeable and makes it convenient to coil when you are not using it. Charging speeds are impressive and can be taken to the next level when paired with a larger power supply than the standard iPhone cube. Anker’s powerport nano is a good alternative. Overall, another impressive cable from Anker.

I purchased a brand new Anker Powerline+ III of 6 Feet, I had high hopes as 1st time purchasing Anker Product, & i see alot of great reviews of other Anker Cables. So purchased this most expensive one.It was very disappointing. Since i waited nearly 1 month of deliver from amazon, due to Coronavirus. It hold a temporary charge on side of lighting cable of blank of lightning cable connector & other side with Anker word doesn't work. But even the blank didn't work mostly, due to will not charge if you don't hold it in position for it to charge.I cleaned my iPad Mini port for any lint or dust. So it still didn't work. The beats cable & my apple cable works.I contacted Anker = they told me to cut cord & show them a picture. Due to i didn't have printer to print out USPS slip. They shipped of 1st replacement in 1 week of time, same results. But this time it works on iPad 6, But still doesn't work on my iPad Mini 4.So contact again, so they told me i should return if i want. So i did since, its not usable for me.Just a Note: i think its due to iPad Mini 4 has lower Port Voltage, Anker PowerLine+ III has higher voltage. (Don't know if it will work on iPad Mini 5 that has Fast charging & higher Voltage charging than iPad Mini 4.Overall its a good durable cable, but just doesn't hold a charge if you have lower voltage apple iPad Mini like me.I hope this review is helpful to others.Sigh :(

I bought a 6 foot for my room and a 3 foot for my car. These cables are extremely durable. They feel extremely high quality right out of the box. These cables are great due to the mfi certification and will work with any apple device and all functions are supported. The charging speed is great if not better than regular apple cables. I noticed even when plugged into a normal non fast charging device they still charge extremely quick. Normal use i would expect these cables to last over a year and with exceptional care way longer.

It gets tiring spending a thousand dollars on a iPhone to get a garbage cable. Right out of the box i could feel how good this cable was. The quality if fantastic and it feels extremely durable. It would be nice to see apple collab with anker to make these cables a standard with iPhones. Especially with the fact they cost upwards of $800. However we all know that will never happen.

My Anker II is dead, this could not get here fast enough, I paid for a NEW CableTHIS WAS USED !!Factory seal cut the cord was wavy I would have sent it back !! But The need for a working cord was urgent. As far was durability and charging power is yet to be determined.Just an UPDATE :Was not expecting ANKER to step up as it was an open pkg. and not defective. But they did and made it right. That’s EXCEPTIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE !for this I’ve changed my 2star to a 5 STAR.ANKER products and Customer ServiceDefine the Gold Standard.

Sadly I can not test the speeds it boasts, however it is decently fast at transferring files from my device, charges my device at an excellent speed & does not heat up the cable nor the device when charging. The cable is far more flexible than other braided cables & so far is holding out better than a different brand cable I have. I would definitely buy it again, I JUST WISH IT CAME IN ROSE GOLD! I have been hoping they would make a rose gold variety soon! Other than that, an excellent cable.Edit: accidentally broke the male thunder 8-pin connector end of the cable. Oh well!Edit 2: Anker reached out to me & offered a cable replacement, in which I have declined since I have my older Anker cable which I returned to using. So instead they issued a refund. That was awesome of them, even though I let them know I was okay with supporting them despite the problem with the product. Very awesome for that service, a respectable brand.

Seems like a nice durable cord. I bought to use in my car. It would not work to connect Apple CarPlay in either of my vehicles. Power line II cords did work though. Very dissatisfied.

I very recently reviewed the Powerline+ II Lightning Cables, lo and behold Anker has gone and done it again! They have upgraded that Powerline+ II to the Powerline+ III. There isn’t really that much of a difference up front, but the minor changes that did happen make an amazing cable even better. The Powerline+ III has a stronger and more durable nylon braiding that you can feel. The cable itself feels heavier and more secure. If you even feel that the braiding will fray with the Powerline+ II, with the III’s that is the last thing you have to worry about.Aside from the braiding quality and strength, which Anker says is 35x stronger than any other cables, the other minor change is on the connectors. The newer cables have sleeker, a little smaller, more rounded than the older ones. Additionally, they have a gloss finish to and note the Anker brand on both the USB A and the Lightning Connectors.Again, these might be small changes, but detail matter to me and seems like Anker agrees with my notions. It’s also important to mention that like the Powerline+ II’s the upgraded cables are optimized for high-speed charging! As always, Anker lightning cables come MFi Certified and also with Lifetime Warranty. So you do not ever need to buy another cable cause the braiding is frayed or the cable got so bent up that you have to do that wiggly motion to get it in that sweet spot to charge your device.
