I have been using it on my 2021 Subaru Forester Sports for several weeks. It works perfectly. I use it for the sole purpose of connecting my iPhone to the car for CarPlay. I am very happy that CarPlay works flawlessly with this cable. CarPlay recognizes a phone connection quickly and does not get disconnected. The cord that I had previously used give me very inconsistent results with establishing a CarPlay connection and staying connected. The construction of the Cable is very sturdy. It looks and feels durable. I love the fact that the Red color of the cable matches very well with the red-orange accents on the Subaru Forester Sports trim.

I use the Anker Powerline cables all the time on our traveling trailers for our local Ayala Band and Color guard performing team. We have (8) cables coming off of our inverters to charge our bands & color guards phones while we are traveling. They come in a variety of colors and lengths, they are sturdy and well made. Because we have over 210 band and color guard members we needed a product that is well made and sturdy from a lot of usage. We have also used their in car or dash cigarette lighter type double cable charges for our vehicles and several of us use them for private. Highly recommend these products. I've been using several Powerline+ II cords for the last 2-3 years. These cords deal with a LOT of use (i.e. an 8-year-old), and have stood the test of time. When one of them started failing (no visible damage to the cord -- it just stopped charging reliably one day, the support staff at Anker were VERY helpful in getting a replacement shipped out. I just had to fill out an online form and supply proof of purchase and a picture of the old cord. Once they had that, they sent out a replacement right away -- no waiting hours on hold, no impatient support techs, nothing.Anker cords are definitely an investment, but they last, and on the rare occasions they don't, getting warranty service is a breeze.I've moved on to the new Powerline+ III cords for new purchases (I'm an Anker fanatic), but the Powerline+ II's are solid cords as well.

I have had this red 3-ft lightning cable for little over a year. Used it for all my travels and in my car. The durability of this cable is rock solid. It's built like a tank, especially comparing to the original cable that came with my iPhone. I have been using Anker cables for the past 3 years as the only replacements for the broken and worn out OEM cables. The PowerLine+ II is something I first purchased a year ago. I was not excited about the higher price of this line vs. the Anker's PowerLine cables, but I thought the warranty was appealing. Now, about a week ago, the cable stopped charging my phone. No matter what brick I used or tried a different car - no dice. There were no visible signs of damage. I reached out to Anker. They replied very quickly and had replaced my cable without any hassle. Make sure keep note of the serial number on the cable. I went and purchased a new PowerLine+ II for my wife's car. Happy customer. Thanks, Anker!

While the braided cable did make the cable last "longer" I would'nt say by much, it still didn't do much if anything at all, it only lasted like 4 months max.UPDATE: I have brought my star rating up to a 4 as Anker has done there best to fix the problem, they have sent me out a new cord free of charge, and I did not have to send the other one back, while this cord in particular didn't last me that long it may be different for you. I can say it's is a good cord it just didn't live up to the things i put it through. I would also say that if you are looking to buy a cable go with Anker as there cables and products really good, and they have great customer service!

Great cable! I love the little case it comes in. I bought this to use in my Kia soul so that I can use Apple CarPlay. Are used a little carrying case to hold the excess cable, so it’s not flopping all over the place while I’m driving. The end connectors are snug, and the gold plated ends are still all gold plated. As often as lightning cables go out, I’m not expecting this one the last forever. However, so far, so good. This seems like a very sturdy, well-built cable..

UPDATES: 01/25/2018Anker contacted me through Amazon and asked about my problem. I told them that I wasn’t sure if it was defective or just me, but they were very friendly and generously offered a replacement for re-evaluation for free of charge.I just received the replacement cable today, and I have to say I’m glad they contacted me. This cable’s connector is more secured than the one I bought, for sure. I still think it’s not as tight as the Apple cable, but it isn’t a problem, so I’m changing the review to 5 stars.I bought this cable to charge my phone while using it in bed. It seems to work fine and the cable is more malleable than expected. I only have it for less than a week so I can’t say much about its longevity, but there’s a problem that keeps bugging me: the cable get loose up if I happen to turn to the sides. On one hand, I don’t have to pull hard or much at all to disconnect the cable from my phone, on the other hand, it’s quite inconvenient to use in bed, and I spend a lot of time reading on my phone at night. I don’t know if this was intentional or not.

This is a really high-quality cable, complete with a Velcro cord wrap and a very nice travel case. I did find, though, that when using the stock 10W Charger that came with my iPad Mini 2 this cable would not charge the iPad to 100%. Somewhere between 90% and 99% it would stop charging and I’d get the “Not Charging” indicator on the iPad. The good news is that when using the newer 12W Apple charger it charges to 100% every time. Don’t know what’s up with that, but it’s not a big deal.I love that this cable is soft, very flexible and, unlike Apple cables, totally kink-free. It’s a much nicer cable to handle and work with. This is now my daily go-to cable workhorse; the old Apple cable has been relegated to backup status in the dark recesses of my junk drawer.
