I was looking for an inexpensive alternative to upper-echelon noise-cancelling headphones to use at my job. I read reviews on the Anker on several A/V sites, and the consensus was it is a company that has great technology at a bargain price. How right they were! Now, right off the bat, I'll say this-IF you have ever experienced the noise-cancelling of Bose, Bowers & Wilkins, or any other headseat for $300 and up, you won't get that for $99. BUT-you will get a lot more than you think for over-the-ear headphones. IMO, I'd say these Anker give you 75 to 80 percent of the noise-cancellling that Bose gives you. That's actually way better than I expected. That said, the ultimate test will be my next flight I take from Omaha to Detroit next month.Otherwise, the audio quality is sufficient. 85 percent of people looking for headphones are looking for a treble range that doesn't sound muted, a bass range that will never sound distorted, and a mid range that pretty much any voice sounds clear. These will do that, and more (side note, the bass response on the specs shows it is 15 Hz... eh... maybe-BUT again, unless you're a straight up basshead, you're not going to notice. I put these headphones through its paces to see how it handled various genres of music, "Hypnotize" from Notorious B.I.G., to "Desert Rose" from Sting, "All the Stars" from Kendrick Lamar, "Ode To Joy" from Beethoven, "Turn, Turn, Turn" from The Byrds, "Aint Nobody" from Chaka Khan, "Snap Your FIngers, Snap Your Neck" By Demon Hunter, and "Three O'Clock Blues" from Eric Clapton/B.B. King. I'll tell you right now it surprisingly handles classical music and blues better than I expected, but these headphones are the Subarus of listening-there's not one terrain that stands out being better than another, but there's nowhere it can't handle. The headphone controls... they're taking awhile to get used to. I'll have to do a followup. The battery life-as advertised. I pushed a full 21 hours on wireless with NC on.My verdict? You get what you pay for, but sometimes you get more than what you are expecting. I'm happy with this purchase, and I might just purchase another!

These showed up the day before my 2 flights (6 hours). I tried them briefly the night I got them after I let them charge for awhile and I was happy with the upgraded sound from the Anker vortex and after a good hour or so I put them in my bag for the next day. I pulled them back out after I boarded the plane and put on a movie and turned on the noise canceling before we took off and eventually the plane took off but I just kind of forgot I had on a new pair of active noise canceling headphones. Then the flight attendant came by so I took them off to get a drink and that’s when I noticed how amazing these headphones were. I never realized how loud it is inside an airplane. After that I put them back on and started experimenting and switched the ANC off then back on and I just kept smiling, I’ve never had true noise canceling headphones before and I was just so excited to see how well these actually worked.I’m 100% happy with these in every way possible. I haven’t put the battery to the test but if I’m being honest I’ll never have to go that long without charging them. If I have these headphones on me I’ll most likely have my Anker powercore portable charger with me too but I really doubt that’ll even be necessary. This is no doubt my new favorite product I have purchased from Anker.

I saw a coupon and decided to spring for these to upgrade from my Sony MDR-XB650BT headphones. I fly a lot so I wanted something with Noise Cancelling technology.I haven't tried them on a plane yet but I can say that I really like them. They aren't the bass-iest headphones on the market but I noticed a significant boost with NC on. I would describe the sound as nicely balanced. They are more comfortable than my Sony headset because the fit completely over my ear. I'll be using for same gaming as well. Definately worth it for < $100.

Added a star for the excellent follow up by Anker and listening to my feedback.Bought these on Ankers reputation and they are ok but not for me.The control swipe surface is touch and not go on too many occasions. Keeps mistaking swipes (From center out to volume/skip) as pauses. This leads to the material used on the control panel. It looks and feels nice but doesnt give me the confidence it will survive past a year unscathed.Noise Cancelling is not that good. At times I had to flip the switch to make sure it was on. The cups covered my ears so I think the housing may be too open and allowed too much outside noise in.Battery life is great. Didnt charge over 2 days. Its a shame but I will be returning them.

I just bought these basically on the strength of Anker's reputation as a company that produces electronics worth about twice what you pay for them. And so far, I'm not disappointed. I've been tempted by over-ear wireless noise-cancelling headphones for a while, and sort of flirting with either Bose QC35, Beats Studio, or Sony WH100MX2. The problem, of course, is that the sticker price for all of those is like $350, even though you can usually gets the Sony and Beats for less---which is a lot to pay for "I've been tempted by this." Hundred bucks, on the other hand... is a hundred bucks. I'll spend a hundred bucks on something I'm not sure I'll like. But, I like it! And I'm glad I didn't pull the trigger on the Bose/Beats/Sony. I got all I want from these, for a third of the price.Noise-cancelling: it works. It's not like Bose-level---I have a pair of QC20s that I use for flying, because Bose just shuts out the world. These headphones just turn the world down a little, much more like noisy-coffeeshop muting than airplane-muting. Which is just fine, that's what I want them for (I don't understand how anyone carries big-old over-ears on a plane anyway).Sound: I'm not an audiophile. It sounds better than my airpods, but it had better for the size. It sounds good to me.Comfort: it's really comfortable. The headband gives me plenty of room for my big head (though the slidy-adjustment things are a bit creaky). I wear glasses, and they break the seal a little bit with the earcups (which are also super-comfortable on my big ears), but not very much, the earcups seem to do a nice job molding around them. This isn't a premium-materials kind of headphone (hundred bucks, remember?), but the non-premium materials Anker chose work real well. It's also really light, headband is nicely padded, I could see wearing this all day and barely noticing.Controls and such: the touch controls are a bit of a gimmick. You slide up/down to change volume and back/forward to change tracks. Those work like a charm. The tap-to-pause thing, on the other hand, works maybe half the time. There's probably a trick to it, but I don't know it.Paring: works fine with my iphone. No problems. There's a nice hard-case which is a little bulky but not too bad. The headphones fold to fit in it. Basically, the bells and whistles you expect from a nice over-ear headphone.Tiny gripes: the tap to pause thing, mostly. Also, I wish that the power were a little easier to turn on/off. The nc is a normal sliding on-off switch, but the power is one of those buttons you have to hold for a few seconds to get it to go on and off, which is annoying. Also, the power, nc, and phone buttons are all in kind of awkward positions sort of on the bottom of the earcups, but a little toward the back, kind of weird to grope around for with your fingers. But, like I said, those are tiny gripes. This is a solid A grade from me.
