Samsung unveiled its second pair of wireless earbuds equipped with ANC (Active Noise Cancellation) at Unpacked 2021. Known as the Galaxy Buds Pro, the new earbuds combine the best characteristics of the Galaxy Buds+ and the Galaxy Buds Live in a single package while adding new features and improving upon existing ones. While the Galaxy Buds Live were an ambitious take on wireless earbuds design, the newer Galaxy Buds Pro revert back to an in-ear / canal-type design that’s similar to the Galaxy Buds+. This approach works in favor of ANC because the ear tips provide an additional layer of passive noise cancellation.

First off sound is amazing for music. There is no latency on android or apple. noice cancelling is mediocre at best even with the best fit. ambient sound is just right plus more if you need it. I have many ear buds here are pics of my favorites an for me samsung is right behind the best the best being sennheiser momentums. An I'm not sorry to say samsung buds pro just passed my apple airpods pro when it comes to sound quality only. Fit airpods pro still the best out of everything I have noice cancelling an ambient sound airpods pro still best. Sound quality samsung buds pro is now my number 2 an for the price when it comes too sound quality I could say tie but sennheiser is like 8% better I will update soon.
These Buds Pro are great. I find the fit secure and comfortable. I realize that everyone has a different ear and fit is very individualized. However, on putting them in and seating them with a gentle rotation, I cannot get them to move or feel loose. They stay firmly in my ear providing both good sound isolation and stability during outside work and indoor workouts with sweating. running and rowing. The sound is good. Not like over the earphones with large speakers, but great for small in the ear buds. The equalizer doesn't do much but does provide some changes in bass and treble for indivicual tastes. I also have the Samsung Live buds and they are great. A comfortable fit and very secure. I was looking for better active noise cancellation. The open format of the Live Buds does not lend itself to very good noise isolation.ANC is about a 3 out of 5 in effectiveness. I have the Jabra active 75T with ANC. They are about a 2.5 The Live buds with ANC are about a 1.5 and the Sony WH 1000XM4 over the ear are a 5/5. So, for an earbud these are pretty good and they do improve the sound quality during playback.I find the fit and comfort a 5/5 I can wear them for hours without an issue. The Live Buds that sit without any ear canal plug are more comfortable, but they are a little less secure. I can get them to move if I am extremely active or when working on a car, (my head will be upside down). So, great fit, secure, comfort, and OK ANC. Plus, they don't stick out as much as other earbuds.I have included pictures of the live buds in my right ear and pro buds in the left ear for appearance. They both seat fairly deep. I have seen some people showing pictures with the buds sticking out. I wonder if they don't seat seat them all the way in the ear.
I've tried everything on the market currently it seems. I have a collection of IEMs including but not limited to the Shure 846 series, many Fiio models, etc. In the included pictures you can see I've tried all of ANC Bluetooth earbuds (I have tried over hear too) I've found it seems. My advice is honestly to try everything and see what fits best. For me personally the new Bose QC earbuds, the Apple airpods Pro, the Samsung Galaxy buds Pro and the Samsung buds live fit the best for me. You should see the box of ear tips I have collected over the years. Hundreds of dollars of ear tips probably. Including comply, spin fit, etc. As far as the Bluetooth earbuds go I have decided to keep the Galaxy buds Pro, Sony WF-100XM3 and the airpods pro. I realize this review isn't as detailed as I can get but perhaps if anyone likes it I can go into much greater detail. All of these can do almost what most people are looking for. The hardest thing is actually finding something that can get a good fit or seal rather. The seal is what you absolutely need. The Sony and the airpods pro do stand out. However the Bose QC earbuds that were recently released are hands down the best active noise canceling earbuds I have tried. Unfortunately the price just wasn't worth it for me. As the earbuds I have kept I have gotten on sale.
New to the wireless earbuds game. Tried these and Soundcore Life P2. (For the money, the Soundcore is a great deal, but the sound quality doesn't hold a candle to these)I bought these with the hopes that the sound quality would be agreeable at least. (I'm hard to please with audio, but don't claim to be an audiophile. ) So far, the sound quality has been superb!Very solid quality feel to the buds and the case. No complains or concerns there.Very comfortable. Very secure. I changed out to the large silicone tips and they fit perfect. The active noise canceling is effective enough that I noticed an immediate difference when activated. I don't have anything to compare this performance to though, so I cannot speak to the Buds Pro performance vs others.I will say, the ANC does seem to add a little background noise when listening to music. Just makes it a little airy. Mild enough that I prefer to use the ANC even so.The voice detect feature I had a lot of hopes for. Unfortunately, it seems to suffer from erroneous activation for me. Sitting completely quiet, it will randomly and frequently (once every 5 minutes roughly,) activate and that is my only complaint, but makes it a 4 star for me. Hopefully, this will be improved with future updates.Bixby support is great! I've always wanted to like Bixby, but haven't. This is the missing piece! Very easy to give commands and incredibly convenient! All in all, I am please with the performance. The sound quality, comfort, and Bixby support make them worth the money for me.Again, the sound quality is very good. I'm enjoying going through many different genres and rediscovering some favorites.
Tried these, just as I tried the Buds Live as I was hoping for a true upgrade to the first gen Galaxy Buds, but I again wound up returning them because they still just do not sound as good as the first gen product, especially on the low end.The things that Samsung has added (better passive noise, noise canceling, etc) are additions, and if that's all you want these for then it may be worth the price (although you can have the first gen buds for around 50 bucks, so paying four times that for these seems unwise). The audio is fuller, and has more bass to it than anything the more recent attempts have given. That, plus a battery life stand still means that you really aren't getting much more than you would with the first gen product unless you specifically want noise canceling and if said feature is worth almost 150 dollars more to you.If not, go with the first gen buds or the buds plus if you really need extra battery life (although those too do not match the first gen buds in terms of sound, they are at least in the same price range so the battery life increase could be seen as being worth the jump in price).
These buds work very well with my s20 (soon to be s21). The sound is a bit better than my original buds. The fit is not as secure, but it is more comfortable since they removed the wingtips. I would say definitely go for these, especially if you are getting trade in credit from Samsung.Ignore low ratings due to "Iphone Incompatibility". I take a very consistent stance on this. The buds pro are made to work best with Samsung phones, just like Airpods work best with iPhones. The buds pro definitely work with iPhones using standard bluetooth connection, and quite a bit better than Airpods on android. App support should hopefully be coming soon. It just really bothers me that this solid product has its rating coming down due to people who don't understand. IMO it would be fair to give it 4 or maybe 3 stars for "Lack of IOS update at launch" but to rate the product 1 star is simply unfair. Just my two cents. Anyway...snag these buds!
I thought these were an absolutely great set of headphones. I just purchased the lives a few weeks ago and fell in love with them, not knowing these were soon to be released. And when I saw the features on these I knew I had to try them instead.I was a little worried on the set up, I liked the comfort and the feel of how the lives sat in my ears. But once I got these situated they are even more comfortable. And you can not beat the sound quality, the fact that there is a woofer and a tweeter giving you a full range of sound is amazing. I can hear parts of my music that I never noticed before. The only thing I still want to work on is getting the perfect balance on the ambient sound. Overall it is a great feature, I have loved having the music playing all day and still being able to communicate when needed. However, it picked up my shoveling this afternoon and took it as an essential noise and lowered my music. Once I figure out more of the settings on that I know it will be great.Either way the headphones are great and I am very excited to take them out on the golf course this summer.
Great sound upgrade from the buds+, bass hits nice. Case is super small. The autoswitch from anc to ambient sound works well when I talk. Fit is ok bud a definite downgrade from the buds+. The fin is definitely missed don't pick these up if you want a hard run or something, but for casual use fit is fine. You will hit the touch button when you adjust the bud which is annoying.Overall miss the fin but the huge sound upgrade and nice working features make up for it. 4 stars
So far these buds are really good they fit really well they don't fall out of my ears
