I had high hopes for this bag when I ordered it. I travel semi frequently for work and utilize a work iPhone, work iPad, and work laptop every day. I like to keep my work electronics separate from my personal devices and it’s important to show up to work with CHARGED and protected devices. Although I haven’t figured out how to charge my laptop with this bag (I’m sure there is a cord for that somewhere, I’m just being lazy) I am super happy with the ability to plug in my phone and tablet, store them, store the laptop, close the bag and know I’m good to go for the next day. Super easy.About every other day I plug the bag in under my desk and let the battery charge...I probably don’t need to charge it that often but it’s easy and I don’t like to think about battery life etc. Excellent size for a tech bag. Not big enough for a book bag or school backpack (unless your school doesn’t require a lot of books carried) and lots of pockets for cords, devices, stuff...all protected by dense foam padding. I like how the laptop pocket (with divider so it could hold more than one device) is kind of hidden in the back of the bag with the zipper obscured by the straps. When worn loaded with devices I feel nothing and I don’t feel or hear my stuff flopping around. You do need to remove the internal battery when flying, but with a couple of adapters you can still use the bag’s charging input as a hub to charge all your devices with one plug in a wall socket.Great bag... I’ve used Ghostek phone cases for a couple years and have been very happy with the quality and protection. This is another high quality Ghostek product that exceeded my expectations.

This backpack is so awesome and perfect for my needs. I travel a lot and usually brings with me a phone, a table and a laptop. I can say I finally found my perfect travel laptop bag. This bags is truly awesome. It looks sleek and very comfortable especially the padded back with mesh material. I really like the small compartment at the back which I think is perfect for my wallets, plane tickets and password since it's easy access and secure. This backpack is very well made, straps are properly reinforce and provides a nice pad for protection. Of course the builtin powerbank is definitely a huge plus for me. It's easy access for charging and have a power and indicator on the straps. Overall, an awesome backpack.

Such a great backpack for my laptop! I just got it and already love it. The shoulder straps are adjustable so you can adjust them to fit your body. The straps are also wide and that really helps to keep the straps from digging in to your shoulders especially when you have the laptop loaded up. My laptop easily slips inside and there is plenty of room for all my gear. I love that it has a built in battery so I never have to worry about my battery dying on my laptop or phone at the most inconvenient times. I'll always have my backpack battery to charge whatever needs charging. I also love that it has internal and external USB ports that are so easy to use. It has big compartments that make slipping bigger items in without struggling to wedge them in like I have had to do with other bags. But it also has little compartments, some even with zippers that are great for smaller items. The backpack is also made with a water resistant material that will be great for protecting electronics while they are in the bag. It also has an indicator that lets me know when I need to charge the built in battery. I highly recommend this backpack!

My husband didn't want a typical briefcase for work so as we were searching, we stumbled across this bag. It is very comfortable because of the padded straps and back. It has a lot of different pockets so there is a spot to put everything which helps to keep organized. The battery pack makes the backpack a little heavy but it comes in handy when you are out all day and you need to charge your phone or laptop. We purchased the black color and the interior color is red which is a great contrast. Would definitely recommend this backpack for when you spend a lot of time away and you know you're going to need to recharge your devices. The backpack does not come with a physical manual, there is a code you can scan on your phone for directions on how to charge the battery.

I had purchased the first version of this NRGbag from Ghostek and I loved that bag. This NRGbag 2 version is very similar, but there are definite improvements that Ghostek has made and I'm very happy about. I'll outline those differences and explain the benefits of this bag.One of the first thing I noticed about this bag was the wider shoulder straps. The first version didn't really bother me that I noticed, but putting this NRGbag 2 on my shoulders was definitely a noticeable difference. The straps seem as durable as the first version, but they're wider. Wider straps better distribute the weight of this bag and it's contents and just make the balance feel better when carrying this bag on your shoulders. There's still the strong and durable strap at the top if you just want to carry the bag by hand as well. The second thing I noticed was the change in pockets. I had no problems with the first version's pockets, but Ghostek has changed up the pockets in the front of the bag somewhat. The first zippered pocket in the front is deeper than the previous version, which I've found works great for throwing a book in there or other longer objects that you might not want inside the inner pockets for whatever reason. The side pockets for water bottles or coffee mugs also seem to be deeper. There were times with the old bag that I didn't feel like my Contigo coffee cup was very deep inside the pocket and it even fell out on occasion. These pockets seem to be deeper and hopefully will prevent accidental drops, but time will tell how the elastic tops hold up. Instead of being one big open compartment now in the front, inside pocket, there's a dividing section that splits the large pocket into two sections. the dividing pocket also has a couple of smaller, zippered compartments for storing thinner items or cables. Some people may prefer one big, open pocket, but I actually prefer the divider being in there as I felt the first generation sometimes forced me to throw everything into the same space and it was harder to keep things organized. I like this change and I feel it helps me to keep things in their proper place a little better. The back pockets are the same as the previous version with the larger pocket having a section for you laptop (up to 15.6 inch laptop), a smaller pocket for a tablet, and then a free pocket for papers and such. There's also a small, zippered pocket at the bottom-back of the bag that works great for longer items like pens, pencils, etc. I use it to keep keys for work and my badge. The other big thing I noticed with this second version of the NRG bag is that the shape, while similar, performs much better. the previous version would fall over too often and I found that I would have to turn the bag around so the front pockets were leaning towards a wall or hard surface to keep the bag upright. This version does a much better job of standing upright and with the front pockets facing me so I can easily get into them. The bag also does a much better job of keeping it's shape and not getting bulky than the previous version. The first version would get bulky if I put too much stuff inside the pockets and would kind of get in the way when I was carrying it around, but this version seems to hold all the same things, but it stays in a slim shape and doesn't get that bulky look. I can't really explain why this is, but it seems to distribute the weight vertically better. Whatever the reason, it's noticeable in a good way and I like it a lot.I love the improvements to the previous NRGbag that Ghostek has made with this model, but time will tell if the bag will hold up better. I previously bought the first version and it is still usable and works great, but wear and tear is starting to show in spots. The front section that the battery pack is hidden behind is starting to wear through the front, but no holes have formed yet. It doesn't look the best, but is still functional. the battery pack in this is a little different in design and I'm hoping these changes will help keep the wear and tear down on outside of the bag. The battery charging seems to be a little more reliable and works better. I received it with a little less than a full charge and I was able to charge my Samsung Galaxy S8+ phone from halfway to full without even using up half of the bag's battery reserves. This bag is not a fast charging bag (and I wouldn't expect that from any laptop bag), but it should easily fully charge my phone and top off some other devices.I loved the first NRGbag that I had bought from Ghostek and this NRGbag 2 improves on an already winning formula. I'm very happy with the changes Ghostek has made. None of the changes were groundbreaking, but they are welcomed improvements that makes an already great bag that much better. Hopefully it will take the wear and tear of everyday use a little better, but I'll have to wait and see. In the meantime, I'm thrilled with this laptop bag and will be using it daily.
