I am a self-professed headphone junkie and my collection ranges from high end brands like Etymotic Research, Sony HD, and Sennheiser HD down to Beats, Jaybird, and Bose. I have on-ear, over-ear and in-ear headphones. Some are reference level, while others have significant DSP coloration. Also, I have purchased all my headphones, so I have absolutely no allegiance to any manufacture.I’m using my Sony NW-ZX300 DAP as my source player and I have turned off all DSP features so I can hear exactly what each of these headphones have to offer. Since I love all genres of music, I tested each headphone across Metal, Rock, HipHop, RAP, Soul, Country and Classical music.Since this are on-ear headphones, I have dug up a couple of my favorite, but similar headphones to compare these to. I have decided to use Bose SoundLink On-Ear Bluetooth Headphones ($180.00) and Sennheiser HD1 On-Ear Wireless Headphones with ANC ($260.00). I would have compared these to Beats, but I have returned every pair I have ever tried.I will try to compare this group objectively based on size, comfort, stability, controls, sound quality and finally value. So, let’s get to the comparison.Physical Size) The Bose are much lighter and compact when folded, while the Ghostek are largest and heaviest. The Ghostek and Sennheiser are about the same size folded. Winner is the Bose.Comfort) While on-ear headphones are notorious for heating up and becoming too uncomfortable, I found the Ghostek no exception here. I believe it comes down to the all leather cup always maintaining contact with my ears. The Bose are a joy to wear, because they are light and have a fabric center section. I can wear the Bose all day long with no discomfort. The Sennheiser eliminates the over heating issue by only placing the ear cups on the outer ear edge and leaving some space in between the ear and the driver. But I have to admit that the Sennheiser’s require time and manipulation to make them comfortable. Out of the box the Sennheiser’s clamped like a vise and the ear-cup pads were entirely too stiff. They are getting better with age, but the Bose and Ghostek felt great right out of the box. Winner is the Bose. Second goes to Ghostek.Stability) Winner is the Bose because of their weight and perfect amount of clamping force. The rest just felt less stable due to their weight. Second place is a tie between Ghostek and Sennheiser.Controls) Switching between the Ghostek and Sennheiser headphones I kept finding my self seeking the controls, while the Bose controls were easily located. Winner is the Bose. Second place is a tie between Ghostek and Sennheiser.Sound Quality) While the Bose has excelled so far, I cannot give them the win here. The Bose headphones sound somewhat subdued when compared to than the others. I find that they are passable for most genre, but never really shine. The Ghostek have beautiful responsiveness with any percussion and the bass is right on the mark, but I found some of the mid-range colorized. One particulate weakness was any music with piano notes seemed to sound more like an electric keyboard than a real piano. This really puzzled me since they were great sounding with everything else. The Sennheiser’s, on the other hand, will bring a smile to your face (if you can make them comfortable). They also have a more open sound-stage than the others. They sound like the expensive headphones that they are. Winner is the Sennheiser. Second place goes to Ghostek.Value) The Sennheiser’s come with Active Noise Cancellation, but to be honest, it is not as effective as any of my premium over-ear headphones with ANC. I would rather have had these without ANC and at a cheaper price. The Bose’s headphones offer all day comfort, but the sound quality isn’t there to me. However, I do keep them around as they are my go to cans when I’m working around the house or my work shop. Now we come to the Ghostek which placed consistently in second place. I really liked these with any kind of Rock or HipHop genres and were very good with everything else. This is an exceptional value for the sound quality.

Wow, these are the most comfortable headphones I have every tried. Just looking at the picture I was concerned about comfort but no need to worry, they are very comfortable, they don't make your ears hurt after extended periods of having them on and the sound is terrific. I was easily able to connect them to my electronic devices wirelessly. I mainly will use them in the car for audiobooks so my husband doesn't have to listen to my books and he can play his music over the radio. However, I was amazed at the high quality sound of music with these headphones. The sound was crystal clear. Another cool feature I was surprised with is that if I get a call on my phone while I'm using the headphones and can just answer the call while using the headphones because there us a microphone in the headphones. The sound of the calls are really clear too. You don't sound like you are talking in a barrel like when you answer a call in the car while using bluetooth. I'm very impressed with these headphones and highly recommend them.

I own a few different pairs of Ghostek headphones from wireless Bluetooth to in ear. I have to say that this brand is one of my top 3. I never had a problem with any Ghostek products. The ear pads on the rapture have that iconic leather smell and are very comfortable on the ears. They fit perfect on my head and are perfect for travel and my everyday workout. They don't move around when I'm doing cardio and stretches. They are lightweight. I can turn them from wireless to wire. The battery life last a good amount of time. The volume is loud enough to block out any background noise which I like because I don't like people interruptions. If I had to compare these headphones, I would compare them to beats.Features•40mm Graphene Drivers Produce a Next-Level HD Audio Experience•Equipped with Bluetooth 4.1+EDR & aptX Audio Technology•Fitted with the Finest Soft Protein Leather Ear Cups• 3.5mm Audio Jack for Easy Inline Aux Cable Use•Take Hands-Free Calls On the Go with Built-in HD Microphone•Supports ShareMe Function for Simultaneous Listening•LED Battery Status Indicator Reminds You to Charge UpThe price is right for them and recommended them to anyone that is looking for a nice pair of headphones

I purchased the Rapture headphones by Ghostek. The sound is so clear and I couldn't hear any outside noise. I wasn't sure about the earcups at first because they just set against the ears. All my others go around my ears but I believe these are my favorite pair yet. The earcups are padded so they press finely to the ears with fantastic sound. The headband is padded with a nice soft leather also. Volume up and down buttons with power on and off button on right side. The left side has another button. It is called a share me function. It connects to 2 devices. There are four LED lights below the volume button to let you know how much charge you have left. Has a built in mic. The earcups adjust for a perfect fit. Headphones fold up and have a very nice leather bag lined with a very soft red fabric. Also comes with charging cord in case you don't want wireless, it has a cord to plug from headphone to device. Perfect for everyone. I highly recommend!

These Ghostek Rapture Wireless Headphones are the best! Over the years we have purchased numerous headphones. These are so fancy looking and well made too! I have never owned any headphones that are so stylish looking. Also, so comfortable and fit my ears great. The ear cups are so soft and comfortable on my ears. They are so easy to use and the controls are easy to get to. The sound that comes out of these is amazing! The Bluetooth range is the best I have ever had. They have a nice built in microphone too. The battery indicator is one of the best features because you know in advance when they need to be charged up so they never run down. Hands down the best looking, best working and best sounding headphones I have ever owned!!
